Founder/President

Georgia Owens

Georgia was born in 1964 to her parents Harlan & Shirley and from a very small age experienced a deep spiritual interest in God.  Many times her mother tells of her climbing up in her lap and asking questions about the bible.  Her interest was fueled further when she attended Bethel Baptist Church in McCaysville, GA.  For the next few years she attended church, children’s Sunday school and VBS, all the while growing in faith.

In 1976 her family would move to Arizona where they never found a home church and as many sometimes do she drifted from that spiritual growth.

Later, being desperate to find something to hold onto in the midst of her life being turned upside down, she turned to religion rather than relationship with God.  She would spend the next eight years of her life trying to reach perfection which of course was impossible.

In 2000 she was ask to attend church by a Pastor she worked with.  It took a while to accept the invitation given her religious background but she eventually did.  There she felt the anointing of the Holy Spirit and an invitation from the Lord to have a personal relationship with Him.  She was never the same after that night.  Although she didn’t completely surrender every part of her life to him until 2007 she always knew he was calling her into ministry.

In 2010 the Lord gave her a vision regarding ministry.   Later, that vision was confirmed by a prophetic word spoken over her.  From there Arizona Women of Faith Ministries was birthed by way of Faith Bible Chapel in 2014 with the very first Women’s Conference with more than 200 in attendance.

In 2015 the ministry formed their Corporate status with the State of Arizona and now have their 501 (C) 3 non-profit status with the IRS.

Georgia’s vision from the Lord to impact women in their community, state and nation is becoming reality and she feels so incredibly blessed and humbled at what God is doing in her life.

Georgia is married to the love of her life and best friend Michael and they feel so very blessed to have  their two children, Jerry their always humorous son, their beautiful daughter Sharina.

In 2019 Georgia became a licensed Pastor and God began to open doors to minister at several conferences and churches.

Georgia’s favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”, and Luke 7:47 "Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven - for she loved much.
